Stung

You don't have to gamble to lose money in Vegas.
Police dress up as leprechaun St Patricks day for crosswalk violation sting

While driving out to Hoover Dam the other day we got caught in a Nevada police "sting operation".  Apparently there are many cross walk fatalities every year in Clark County.  We saw a car pulled over by a cruiser.  Then we saw another one on the opposite side of the highway.  Then we saw 5 police bikes sitting on a side street.  It was obvious to us there was a police trap being set we just didn't know what it was.......... Speeding?  Nope.  Cross walk violations.  We heard the siren behind us and Billy pulled the bike over.  A Nevada police cruiser pulled up behind us.  "Did we see the guy in the straw hat back there at the cross walk"?  Once he steps into the 2 lanes of traffic you must bring your vehicle to a complete stop.   Billy saw the guy at the cross walk with the straw hat and slowed down to see what he was going to do, but did not stop as we had traffic on our butt.  Billy is extremely careful of traffic all around us on the motorcycle.  Boulder hwy is 4 lanes plus 2 more at intersections with a center median and a speed of 45 mph!!!!    We were way below the speed limit,,,,, but did not stop once the straw hat man stepped onto the pedestrian crosswalk.  Also there was no crosswalk sign over head or lights for walking or flashing cross walk sign.   Nothing we could do.  Take the ticket.  At least by not stopping we did not get run over from behind.   The officer admitted that someone was rear ended in the Sting operation the other day.... Nice.
Billy said "But no Vegas tourist shirts or leaving any gambling money behind.  We gave at The Precinct!"
